The San Marino Euro coins

First series: The Republic's official coat of arms features on the €1 coin. The 50-cent coin shows the Three Towers of San Marino: Guaita, Cesta and Montale. Saint Marinus, based on a canvas of the Guercino school, is depicted on the 20 cent coin. The 10-cent coin features the Basilica of Saint Marinus. The 1, 2 and 5-cent coins show the Third Tower (Montale), the Statue of Liberty and the First Tower (Guaita) respectively.

San Marino has changes the motives in the second series of 2017: The 2 Euro Coin shows the portrait of Saint Marino, detail of a painting by Giovan Battista Urbinelli, is shown on this coin. The Second Tower features on the 1 Euro coin. The 50-cent coin shows the portrait of Saint Marino, detail of a painting by Emilio Retrosi. Mount Titano with the three Towers is depicted on the 20 cent coin. The 10-cent coin features the Church of St Francis. The 1, 2 and 5-cent coins show the official coat of arms of the Republic of San Marino, the City Gate and the Church of St Quirinus, respectively.

Ci sono due serie in circolazione in Santo Marino. La prima serie la moneta di 2 euro reca il Palazzo Pubblico di San Marino, sede del governo, mentre quella da 1 euro è decorata con lo stemma ufficiale della Repubblica. Sulla moneta da 50 cent sono rappresentate le tre torri: Guaita, Cesta e Montale. Su quella da 20 cent è riprodotto il ritratto del Santo Marino, ispirato a una tela della scuola del Guercino. Sulla moneta da 10 cent è raffigurata la Basilica del Santo, mentre su quelle da 1, 2 e 5 cent compaiono rispettivamente la terza torre, la Statua della Libertà e la prima torre.

Si ha cambiato i motivi nella seconda serie. La moneta di 2 euro reca il ritratto del Santo Marino, particolare di un dipinto di Giovan Battista Urbinelli. Sulla moneta da 1 euro è raffigurata la seconda torre. La moneta da 50 cent mostra il ritratto del Santo Marino, particolare di un dipinto di Emilio Retrosi. Sulla moneta da 20 cent è rappresentato il Monte Titano con le tre torri. Sulla moneta da 10 cent è rappresentata la Chiesa di San Francesco. Le monete da 1, 2 e 5 cent recano rispettivamente lo stemma ufficiale della Repubblica di San Marino, la Porta del Paese e la Chiesa di San Quirino.
